Access to the resort
By road: Take the national road 90 de la Tarentaise to Bourg-Saint-Maurice, then the RD 1090 which goes from Séez towards the Petit-Saint-Bernard pass.
Note that this road is closed in winter from La Rosière. In summer, via the col road from Courmayeur and the Mont Blanc tunnel or the Aosta valley.
By train : Bourg-Saint-Maurice station is the terminus from Lyon via Chambéry, Albertville and Moûtiers.
Several TGVs arrive there in season which also serve mountain resorts, including Les Arcs, Tignes and Val d'Isère.

From Geneva (198 km): Take the A41 towards Chambéry, then the A43 and A430 towards Albertville. In Moûtiers, take the D990 towards Bourg saint Maurice for 21 km then follow the signs for La Rosière Montvalezan
From Lyon (212 km): Take the A41 towards Chambéry, then the A43 and A430 towards Albertville. In Moûtiers, take the D990 towards Bourg saint Maurice for 21 km then follow the signs for La Rosière Montvalezan
From Paris (680 km): Take the A6 towards Lyon / Geneva. Continue on the A43 towards Chambéry / Geneva. Follow the A43 towards Albertville. In Moûtiers, take the D990 towards Bourg saint Maurice for 21 km then follow the signs for La Rosière Montvalezan
The nearest train station is in Bourg Saint Maurice (20 km). Transfers by bus or taxi are then available to La Rosière.
